My mom lost both of ...I know exactly what you mean. My mom lost both of her son's before they were 2. I'm 31 and they have been gone for about 35 years, and she still has not "gotten over" it. I never got to meet my brothers as I am the youngest of her 3 children and they were gone before I was even a blip on the radar, but I do know them and their stories. This past Christmas was the first time my mom ever talked to my about the day my second brother lost his life. I didn't think I would ever hear her talk about it. I'm glad she did though because it helps me understand her hurt and loss. I don't think anyone who hasn't walked in similar shoes can even fathom what you are going through.
